About The Role

Role Description:

Our Junior Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst support Amgen’s Cybersecurity & Digital Trust team by assisting in the collection and analysis of cyber threat information to help safeguard the organization’s data, infrastructure, and assets.

This is an early-career role ideal for candidates who are passionate about cybersecurity and eager to grow in the threat intelligence field.

You will work closely with senior CTI analysts, Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC), and incident response teams to gain hands-on experience in monitoring threat activity, documenting threat actor behaviors, and helping maintain intelligence platforms.

What You Will Do

  • Assist in collecting and organizing cyber threat intelligence from open-source (OSINT), commercial, and internal sources.
  • Monitor and triage incoming threat feeds and alerts to identify relevant indicators of compromise (IOCs) or emerging risks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of basic threat summaries and daily/weekly intelligence updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Help maintain threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect) and support the tagging and enrichment of intelligence data.
  • Support senior analysts in researching known and emerging cyber threats targeting the healthcare and biotech sectors.
  • Collaborate with SOC to help correlate internal security events with threat intelligence indicators.
  • Participate in team meetings and assist with documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts and common threats (malware, phishing, ransomware).
  • Basic familiarity with cyber threat intelligence terminology and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain).
  • Interest in current events and geopolitical issues affecting cybersecurity.
  • Ability to conduct open-source research and compile findings into clear summaries.
  • Strong curiosity and willingness to learn in a dynamic threat landscape.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with good research and writing skills.
  • Team player with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to take direction and deliver assigned tasks independently with guidance.
