Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a Level-2 Cybersecurity Engineer to support daily security operations, including incident handling, firewall and proxy management, VPN support, and vulnerability remediation. The role also involves ensuring optimal performance of network security infrastructure for projects in reputed bank.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Must have 6 years of experience in managing IT systems, with at least 2 years in a financial institution;
• Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Programming & Systems Analysis;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Support Engineer;
• Must have Strong understanding of network topologies such has LAN/WAN/MAN/VPN;
• Must have Solid knowledge of network security concepts such as encryption, certificates, Kerberos, etc.;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills;
• Customer-focused, with a strong team-oriented mindset;
• Ability to work under pressure with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desired Skill-set

• Familiarity with or hands-on experience in emerging technologies;

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for production network and security infrastructure;
• Manage incidents, service requests, and changes efficiently;
• Remediate vulnerabilities and strengthen network security;
• Maintain and update security documentation and SOPs;
• Develop in-depth understanding of organizational IT systems;
• Assist in implementation of network security projects;
• Oversee IT asset and CMDB (Configuration Management Database) management such as firewalls, routers, LANs, WANs, VPNs, etc.;
• Install and configure firewalls, VPNs, routers, servers, and IDS tools also Mentor and support Level 1 security teams;
• Lead security awareness initiatives for non-technical staff and respond promptly to security incidents and threats;
• Ensure timely updates and upgrades of security systems and manage DNS and DHCP services.
