Chief C++ Developer

We are seeking a talented Chief C++ Developer to join our team and contribute to an advanced ultra-low latency algorithmic trading platform.

This platform integrates cutting-edge hardware, network solutions, and state-of-the-art software technologies, including direct network card access to bypass the TCP/IP stack, explicit mapping of critical threads to physical processors for maximizing performance, and modern C++ (C++17/20) language features for pushing the boundaries of innovation. Our objective is to achieve the exceptional—and then surpass it.

This role focuses on developing new algorithmic models, refining the algorithmic framework, optimizing market data distribution, and creating ultra-low latency exchange connectors in collaboration with a global IT and business team.

Please note that working from the customer's office in Lisbon or Porto 2 days per week is required.


Responsibilities

• Design eTrading platform modules, components, and utilities
• Handle platform processes, including development, support, CI/CD, and bug resolution
• Collaborate with global engineering, business, and support teams for task coordination
• Explore innovation through greenfield projects
  
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years in software development
• At least 2 years in leadership roles
• Proficiency in modern C++ (including any of 11/14/17/20), STL, and Boost
• Understanding of design and architecture principles, along with competency in common data structures and algorithms
• Familiarity with Linux environments and tools such as cmake, gcc, and gdb
• Strong written and spoken English skills

• Familiarity with Unix scripts, bash, or Python as common tools
• Knowledge of FIX protocol or other protocols used in financial technology
