Senior Test Automation Engineer (Typescript/Playwright)

Project Description

The goal of platform we build is to create an automated end-to-end solution to facilitate Exam Management Cycles for the Regulatory Authorities and assessment activities across the three lines of defense.

This application is used to automate Document and Data retrieval. It also provides ability to view documents that are auto retrieved as well as to request documents through automatic generation of email requests.

This solution will allow to have one workspace to work for both roles as Maker and Checker, auto retrieve of documents and data, and build automatic storage of all documents collected for an Exam/Cycle into the document storage.

The system is targeting to shorten the timeline for source document and data collection, automates documents and structured data collection, reduce manual work and overall time spent on examination management activities.

Team consists of Dev, BA, QA, Tram Lead, and is supported by dedicated DevOps group. We use agile methodologies on a team level (Scrum, Kanban).

Key project technology stack: Kotlin, Java, Reactor, React, Typescript, Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Automation process setup and improvement

• Development of test automation framework architecture

• Building and maintaining automated testing frameworks

• Test case adjustments for automated testing needs

• Integrating automated testing into CI processes

• Test data and test environment preparations

• Creating bug reports based on test execution results

Skills

Must have:

• Automation experience - 4+ years

• Manual testing experience - 2+ years

• Experience in testing Restful APIs - 1+years

• Solid knowledge in any typed programming language 3+ years (Typescript, Java, C#) or Javascript.

• Willing to learn Typescript and supported stack

• Experience in non selenium tools Cypress/puppeteer

• Familiar with test runners like Jest or Mocha, and testing utilities like Chai, Enzyme or any other

• Strong knowledge of test design

• Strong experience with continuous integration processes and tools (Jenkins, Teamcity or similar)

• Experience of working with version control systems (e.g. GIT, Bitbucket and others)

• Strong proficiency in Atlassian Product Suite (Confluence, JIRA)

• Understanding of agile software development methodologies

• Ability to prioritize test cases based on risk analysis

• HTML / CSS / JSON / XML knowledge

• Strong analytical skills

• Accountability and self organization

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Automation experience using Playwright

• Strong ability to solve, manage and prevent problems independently

• Understanding of Banking Client Onboarding domain

• Experience with Cross-browser testing
