Platform Engineer (Blockchain project)

📍 Location: remote from Europe.

By joining Scalac, you’ll be part of our client’s project - a leading technology company specializing in blockchain solutions. We're looking for a Platform Engineer (focused on Developer Experience) who'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the tools, frameworks, and infrastructure that empower developers building on the platform.

This is not a typical Platform Engineering role solely focused on infrastructure - your mission will be to deeply understand developer pain points and create solutions that make their lives easier: from improving workflows and CI/CD pipelines to ensuring that internal tools, environments, and systems are reliable, efficient, and easy to use.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and SRE teams, ensuring that your work enables seamless development experiences, with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and security.

Must-haves In The Technology Stack

• Min. 4 years of experience in software development, developer advocacy, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain technology.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as GO, Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages and/or related tools for improving developer workflows and infrastructure automation
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Hydra, Earthly, or similar.
• Familiarity with AWS (EKS, RDS), Kubernetes, Docker, and other orchestration frameworks.
  
  

A Bit More About The Ideal Candidate

• Ability to set up and maintain automated testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Comfort with distributed systems concepts and best practices, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Excellent communication skills, so you can communicate well with the technical team, and our clients.
• Independence in your tasks and decisions, while keeping the rest of the team in mind.

• Technical talk with our developer (1 hour).
• Call with the client (30 min.)
