About the Project
We are building an AI-powered platform to model clinical guidelines in the domain of preventive medicine and longevity, ideally starting as soon as possible. Our goal is to extract structured, machine-readable knowledge from medical guidelines and research papers, enabling clinicians and researchers to use them programmatically in decision support systems.
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented interns to assist in the extraction of structured data from clinical guidelines. You will work with formal medical recommendations issued by professional societies or expert panels, and use AI-assisted tools (like large language models) to help convert them into structured, machine-readable formats, following a well-defined schema.
What You’ll Do
- Read clinical guidelines and research papers in preventive and lifestyle medicine
- Identify and extract structured knowledge from clinical guidelines across key categories (e.g., preventive interventions, diagnostic/screening criteria, dosing strategies, contraindications/safety stops)
- Validate consistency and coverage with support from the project lead
- Collaborate in defining edge cases and refining extraction protocols
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, bioinformatics, data science, or related field
- Interest in clinical decision support, evidence-based medicine, or digital health
- Ability to read and interpret medical guidelines and academic papers
- Experience in prompt engineering: using large language models (LLMs) via web tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to generate or review guideline summaries and assist in knowledge structuring
- Attention to detail, precision, and willingness to follow structured annotation instructions
- Basic comfort with structured formats like JSON (or willingness to learn)
- Familiarity with basic software engineering concepts (versioning, collaborative editing, file standards)
- Fluency in English; additional languages a plus
Bonus Points
- Previous work with FHIR, HL7, or clinical data standards
- Interest in longevity science or preventive care
Contract Length
3 months, with the possibility of extension and expanded responsibilities based on performance and project needs
Why Join Us?
- Work on real-world medical AI with measurable impact
- Learn how clinical guidelines are transformed into executable knowledge
- Collaborate with experts building next-gen health infrastructure
- Gain mentorship, hands-on experience, and a standout project on your CV
