About The Role

As a Senior Network Engineer at Etraveli Group, you will play a key role in designing, developing, maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience. You will work with advanced networking technologies such as VXLAN, BGP, EVPN to enhance performance and reliability in our LAN and WAN environments.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with DevOps, SysOps, Database, Security, and other internal teams to align network solutions with business and technical requirements. Additionally, you will document your work by creating High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) as well as regular documentation to support implementation and long-term strategy.

Main tasks

• Designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure to support seamless connectivity and efficient communication across multiple geographic locations.
• Supporting and optimizing WAN/LAN infrastructure across multiple regions.
• Collaborating closely with internal teams, including security, operations, and application teams, to align network solutions with business requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Developing and implementing network automation and tools to streamline operational processes, improve service delivery, and minimize manual intervention.
• Creating and maintaining documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate knowledge sharing and support ongoing maintenance.
• Proactively monitoring and analyzing network performance, identifying potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, and implementing corrective measures to optimize network efficiency and reliability.
• Staying up to date of emerging network technologies, industry trends, and security threats, and evaluating their potential impact on the enterprise network architecture.
• Participating in incident response and troubleshooting activities, providing technical expertise and guidance to resolve network outages or performance issues in a timely manner.
• Being an active and valuable part of the day to day operations team.
  
  

Your profile

You are a detail-oriented, organized, positive, proactive, and solution-oriented team player, with a desire to continuously learn and improve your skills. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. With several years of experience in a similar role, you are used to designing, implementing, and maintenance of complex network infrastructures.

You have strong technical and analytical expertise and a deep understanding of enterprise networking. You are passionate about designing secure and scalable network architectures and staying up to date with emerging network technologies. As a strategic thinker and hands-on problem solver, you work collaboratively across teams, engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Multiple years of experience in data center network architecture, design and implementation.
• In-depth experience with enterprise-grade routing, switching, wireless, and network security platforms and technologies spanning LAN, WAN, and Data Center environments.
• Experience with network automation and programmability concepts and technologies (e.g. Ansible, Python, JSON, APIs and others)
• Extensive experience in network technologies such as VXLAN, BGP, EVPN
• Experience in creating Low Level Design, High Level Design, Network Migration Plan and Network Implementation Plan
• Knowledge of load balancing technologies such as F5, firewalls (Checkpoint), storage (CEPH).
• Knowledge and experience in cloud solutions (Akamai).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices.
