The Role

We are looking for a passionate Android Developer who can:

• Maintain and develop new features for the Pointr Android SDK
• Making the SDK available with the requested new features and fixed issues on time
• Write clean native code
• Understand good coding practices
• Write unit and integration tests
• Has at least 4 years of professional coding experience on the Android platform (Swift)
• Write code samples for our documentation center
• Troubleshoot code from our clients to find potential issues
• Explain to clients (over a screen-sharing session) how to integrate our SDK in the best possible way
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• At least 4 years of professional coding experience on the Android platform
• Experience in Java, Kotlin, and JNI
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong command of written and spoken English (you will interact with our global clientele)
• Strong sense of personal accountability, self-disciplined
• Startup experience or should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high agility
• Willingness and passion to go the extra mile (e.g. work on the weekend to troubleshoot a critical issue or wake up very early to have an international call. This is not a role for you if you are looking to work 9 to 5 within your comfort zone.)
• Bachelor’s degree in either Computer Science or a relevant Engineering field from top universities (we only accept applications from Engineers).
• Experience in using Espresso for test automation.
