Job Title: Business Data Analyst

Location: Mississauga – Hybrid – 3 days/week

Term: Fulltime/permanent

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in Banking or Finance; Risk experience is required
• Highly experienced in leading complex and large-scale changing initiatives or/and data intensive projects.
• Drive execution of the transformation efforts for client’s data governance policy alignment and data strategy for critical ERM regulatory, risk and business decisioning reports with specific focus on BCBS-239 reports.
• The Business Data Analyst position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to drive one or more Use Cases aligned to key reports and ensuring compliance with client’s Data Governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Defining report content, identifying gaps in data quality controls to reduce risk, partner and collaborate with client’s data consumers on data quality remediation challenges; work effort on data flows, processes, and procedures.
• Ensuring data requirements are implemented, and that focus remains on the scope and commitments of each phase of the Risk-owned Consent Order Data Quality Plans to ensure proof of risk reduction. Requires thorough understanding of the strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the client’s Data Operating Model.
• Execution oriented self-starter who can work independently and with limited supervision
• Experienced and adept at working with remote and global teams
• Strong business analysis competency with hands on experience in data analysis and lineage. Experience with data governance preferred
• Working knowledge of client’s Data Governance Policy or Operating Model preferred
