Data Analyst - Dublin - hybrid

This business has been on a steep trajectory in the past number of years due to acquisitions and organic growth. They need an experienced data analyst to join the commercial team to help them be able to better understand and utilise their various revenue streams. The data analyst should have extensive banking and financial service background and be keen to add value in field quickly.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze complex financial datasets to provide insights and recommendations that inform business decisions.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Extensive Data manulipation while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify analytical needs and provide actionable insights.
• Conduct trend analysis, forecasting, and statistical modelling to support business initiatives

The ideal candidate will have a strong formal education in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. They should also have exposure to the financial services sector. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL & Python is essential, as is experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are critical for success in this role. Familiarity with financial markets, products, and regulations is an advantage, and excellent communication skills are required to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
