Job Description

  • Contribute to the development and design of a scalable, secure, and high-performance Microsoft-based systems, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Azure environments.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and patches with minimal downtime.
  • Migration of on-premises systems to cloud-based solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices, security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure system integrity and compliance with banking industry regulations.
  • Create and manage infrastructure as code to streamline operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Optimize processes and workflows through automation, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency whilst maintaining a comprehensive documentation of systems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Excellent understanding of a virtualization technology (VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure)
  • Understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, procedures, operational protocols and incident response.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field involving IT (e.g., physics, mathematics, electronics), or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with multi-functional technical and business teams, along with different levels of management to influence decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in IaC (Infrastructure as code) tooling such as Ansible, Terraform and ARM templating.
  • Experience using the Entra, Microsoft Defender Products, Purview etc.
  • Experience with Citrix VDI solutions.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft certified: “Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate” or “Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals”
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Powershell or .Net.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work quickly with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the IT technology space.
