HEAD OF FINNAIR.COM

to lead the operations and teams of in Finnair.com!

Main Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and support our international team of professionals, ensuring wellbeing, development, and alignment with Finnair and Digital team's strategies. We work fully in cloud environment (AWS) and our developers use e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CDK, Microservices, Datadog, Sentry, CodeBuild & CodePipeline and GitHub Copilot
  • Resource & Capacity Management: Balance development capacity with demand through key activities like rotation, recruitment, talent development and vendor management
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, strategy, contracts, and performance in line with Finnair guidelines
  • Ways of Working: Develop and promote effective, accountable, and collaborative agile practices and tools
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, cross-functional development and efficiency
  • Business Continuity: Ensure resources, processes, and contingency plans are in place to maintain operations during disruptions
  • Development Leadership: Oversee the development, support, and lifecycle of products and services in own area of responsibility
  • Data & Cyber Security: Ensure compliance with Finnair’s data governance and cybersecurity policies
  • Benchmarking & Innovation: Track industry trends and explore new technologies to make sure that our roadmaps are up to date
  • Financial Accountability: Manage budgeting, financial planning, and reporting for own area

From You, We Wish

  • Several years of experience from line management role and excellent people leadership skills
  • Deep knowledge of software development and processes
  • Understanding of airline industry is a benefit
  • Experience of software consulting and vendor management
  • Understanding and experience of Finance processes
  • Strong experience and proven track record of development of products and services, as well as ensuring daily operations
  • Knowledge and experience on agile methodologies
  • Understanding of digital solutions, platforms, architecture and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with people in different levels and functions
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Developing products with service design approach
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge, preferably in a technical or information management field
