Platform Engineer

We’re seeking 2 highly skilled GCP/Vertex AI Platform Engineers for a 12-month contract engagement focused on architecting and implementing scalable MLOps solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role is critical in establishing a modern AI/ML platform using Vertex AI, GKE, and Terraform while enabling CI/CD practices and upskilling internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of end-to-end AI/ML platform architecture on GCP.
• Migrate existing ML workloads and pipelines into Vertex AI (Workbench, Pipelines, Model Training, Prediction, Model Registry, and Monitoring).
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for MLOps with robust infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Set up and optimize GKE, AlloyDB, and GCP networking/security configurations.
• Implement best practices for IAM, data governance, and security within the AI/ML stack.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Data Science, and Security teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
• Provide technical mentorship and training to internal engineering and ML teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expert-level proficiency in Vertex AI, including all core components (Workbench, Pipelines, Training, Prediction, etc.).
• Strong hands-on experience with GKE, AlloyDB, and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of GCP networking, IAM, and security practices.
• Deep familiarity with MLOps workflows, reproducibility, and automation best practices on GCP.
• Proven experience in large-scale architecture design, workload migration, and CI/CD implementation.
• Strong documentation, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
