Recharm.com is a US-based, fast-growing tech startup in the short-form video AI space. We offer a “self-organizing AI video library” – like a video-focused Dropbox custom-built for our customers. We are three years old and profitable.

The founders (Jeremy and Saurabh) have experience in Engineering, Product, and Leadership at companies like Airbnb, Google, and Zapier. We are looking for our first engineering hire.

The Role

We are looking for an individual contributor to drive our frontend engineering. The contributor will partner closely with our designer and the founders to create a next-gen web application for our core product using React components. Our tool is a design product, so an extraordinary User Experience is essential.

This is a full-time, remote, contract role with the potential to transition to full-time.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development
• Extensive experience with React, TypeScript, and CSS in a medium-sized codebase (200K+ LOC)
• Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision
• Exceptional attention to detail: Ability to translate Figma designs into precise, pixel-perfect implementations.
• Strong design sensibility: Capable of crafting elegant, intuitive solutions that enhance the user experience.
• Collaboration: good spoken/written English, experience in a collaborative environment
• Strong commitment to code quality: Values clean abstractions, DRY principles, comments, and testing while maintaining the ability to balance quality with fast-paced development.
• Growth mindset: Open to feedback and continuously seeks improvement while collaborating effectively with others.

Bonus Experience

• Interest in interaction design
• Open Source contributions
• Experience with Redux, Storybook. We believe smart engineers can learn new technology quickly so this is not a must.
• Backend experience is a plus; the role is for frontend but can expand to backend
