Job Responsibilities

Network Engineer Routing, Switching and Wireless - Level 2 Support Team .Overview: Level 2 Support for advanced technical support and troubleshooting expertise for wireless. Coordination with the customers and internal teams to resolve complex network issues and ensure the smooth operation of wireless networks. Responsibilities: Provide Level 2 technical support for network-related issues, incidents, and service requests. Analyze and resolve complex network problems using various troubleshooting tools and techniques. Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues. Perform network capacity planning and optimization to ensure high performance and reliability of networks. Conduct network audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Install, configure, and maintain wireless network equipment, including access points, routers and Wireless controllers. Monitor network performance and address any issues or outages to minimize downtime. Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge sharing and best practices. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in network technologies. Train and mentor junior network engineers to enhance their knowledge and skills in networking. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in network engineering or similar roles. Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting wireless networking technologies, 802.11 standards, Wireless security Expert in 802.1x,Radius(authentication, Authorization, Attributes, CoA, Accounting, etc.), TACACS+, ACL’s, DHCP, DNS Strong understanding of network protocols, such as SNMP, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP. Experience with network monitoring tools and performance management platforms. Solid knowledge of network security principles and practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control. Expert with any of the industry-leading network vendors, such as Cisco, Aruba, and Huawei Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve network issues. Effective communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams in a professional manner. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Industry leading certifications are a plus. Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, preferably in a Level 2 support capacity. Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, routing, and switching. Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, SNMP, etc.). Hands-on experience with network devices such as routers, switches. Switching: VLANs (802.1Q, VTP), DHCP, multicast, L2/L3, aggregation techniques, spanning tree (PVST+), LACP, etc.18.
