Front-end Developer

Front-End Developer (React)
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Type: Contract (6 months)
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Range: C$50 - C$65/Hr

Overview:

• Our client, a leading global consumer brand, is seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to join their dynamic digital team.
• This role focuses on enhancing and maintaining e-commerce platforms and marketing websites, ensuring optimal user experiences across various devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Utilize React to build dynamic, component-based user interfaces.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to implement new features and optimize existing ones.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in front-end development.
• Integrate with APIs and work closely with backend services to fetch and display data.
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and propose improvements as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in front-end development.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with React and its core principles.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Familiarity with other JavaScript frameworks or libraries.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
