Front Office Developer

Role Overview

A leading global investment bank is seeking a skilled Front Office Rapid Application Developer (RAD) to join its Capital Markets Technology team in Singapore. This front-office role is based directly on the trading floor, supporting the Non-Linear Rates desk with fast, effective, and resilient tools that drive trading efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with traders in the dealing room to understand business needs and deliver tactical and strategic tools using Python and Excel/VBA.
• Provide first-line support for trading tools, ensuring performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the industrialization of tactical solutions and integration into strategic platforms.
• Collaborate with global teams in Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Europe to align on architecture and tooling.
• Leverage modern technologies including GitHub Copilot, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support complex financial products including non-linear rates, FX, credit, and repo instruments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT development experience in financial services (strong mid-level profiles considered).
• Deep understanding of capital markets, especially in derivatives and structured products.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Excel/VBA; familiarity with C#, React.js, and FIX protocol is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), containerization, and DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting (MAS, HKMA, EMIR, etc.) and market data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
