About The Role

As a Senior UI Designer at CommSec, you will drive and apply our design language across various digital channels and platforms. You'll be collaborating daily with our engineers, designers, and business stakeholders, to champion the CommSec design system across beautifully crafted and seamless experiences. You'll likely have a strong background in UI or product design, working in an agile environment.

Your team

The Digital & Customer Experience Chapter Area in CommSec comprises of UX Designers, UI Designers, Digital Product Managers and Customer Strategy experts. The team is responsible for evolving the digital experiences across web and app at CommSec. Team members work within squads across our business.

Your Core Responsibilities Include

• Creating detailed user interfaces for experiences across our various digital platforms and channels.
• Provide guidance, advocate, and actively contribute to the CommSec design language and design system.
• Conceptualise and apply systems thinking which shapes offerings that anticipates the needs of our customers in our identified problem space.
• Create prototypes and provide visual storytelling to influence future direction of our experiences.
• Create design documentation to be consumed by delivery teams in a scaled agile working environment.
• Facilitate and participate in design critiques, workshops, and agile ceremonies, maintaining feedback according to our design standards.
• Collaborate closely across a diverse range of stakeholders with varying levels of seniority and backgrounds across the agile lifecycle.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Highly-skilled visual communication skills, with technical expertise in Figma, and an eye for detail and craft.
• Ability to design complex design systems, and creating usable, accessible, and modular designs in a sustainable manner.
• Demonstrated understanding of code, with experience working within design frameworks and tokens.
• Experience in designing for native platforms in iOS, Android, and Web with working knowledge of Swift, Jetpack, React or similar.
• Proven track record of driving successful outcomes from other design systems.
• A curious mindset with an aptitude and passion for learning new skills in analytics, content, research, and coding.
• Confident communication with technical and engineering teams across multiple communication mediums to realise final execution.
