We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a high-performing technology team within a large-scale, secure enterprise environment. You'll play a key role in the design, maintenance, and optimisation of complex networks — ensuring the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure that supports thousands of users.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect, implement, and support enterprise-grade LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers).
- Monitor and optimise network performance to meet uptime and reliability targets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues to minimise downtime.
- Enforce network security and support audit/compliance activities.
- Lead infrastructure projects and collaborate with cross-functional technology teams.
- Maintain network documentation, performance reports, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technical staff.
About You
You’re a network professional who’s calm under pressure, passionate about uptime, and skilled at balancing day-to-day operations with continuous improvement.
You’ll need:
- 7+ years' experience in network engineering or operations.
- Strong knowledge of protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and services like DNS, DHCP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Arista or similar enterprise network hardware.
- Sound understanding of network security principles and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring and performance tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIE.
