The Role

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who sees code as a craft, not just a skill. Someone who obsesses over the implementation details that transform good experiences into sublime ones. Someone who understands that the 10px of padding, the milliseconds of animation timing, and the nuanced interaction states aren't just details—they're everything.

You embody what some might call a Design Engineer—living at the intersection of both engineering and design practices, using a broad understanding of both to build with significant autonomy, practice and teach great software craft, and elevate the final fidelity of what's made from start to end.

As our sole Frontend Engineer, you'll own our entire frontend ecosystem in our intentionally small team. We seek someone who embraces this high-responsibility role and is committed to the long game.

What You’ll Do

• Craft exceptional UI experiences that feel alive, responsive, and delightful
• Collaborate deeply with design to eliminate the traditional handoff process, working iteratively in Figma and code
• Own and extend our design system, ensuring component reusability, consistency, and flexibility
• Build new features with beautiful and scalable UI components that achieve 100% fidelity from design to implementation
• Optimize performance at every level—from page load, in-app navigations, interactions and animations.
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design throughout our product
• Explore and implement AI enhancements that augment our users' creative capabilities without getting in their way
• Work closely with our small, talented team to continually raise the bar for product excellence
  
  

What You Have

Must-Haves

• 7+ years of frontend development experience building complex web applications
• Deep expertise with modern React patterns and practices
• Strong eye for design details and interaction nuance
• Technical proficiency with:
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• React
• TypeScript
• Server side rendering (we use Remix)
• Experience building and maintaining design systems
• Ability to translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-perfect implementations
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
• A portfolio or examples that demonstrate your attention to detail and craft

• Experience with:
• React Native
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
