EngX Technology Consultant

We are seeking an EngX Technology Consultant to join our team and contribute to driving engineering productivity and optimization across software development organizations.

Responsibilities

Support product engineering teams in improving cost efficiency, quality, and time-to-market for enhanced engineering productivity
Facilitate the connection between strategic goals, tactical execution, and operational processes to create holistic solutions for engineering teams
Advise clients on optimizing their software development lifecycle (SDLC), technology landscape, and processes to maximize efficiency and outcomes
Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations for enhancing engineering productivity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that drive measurable improvements in performance
Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure alignment between business objectives and engineering practices
Conduct workshops and training sessions to help teams adopt best practices and improve workflows
Monitor and analyze engineering metrics to assess progress and identify further opportunities for optimization
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across engineering teams and organizations
Support the development of tailored strategies to address specific challenges within client organizations

Requirements

Advanced graduate degree such as a master’s degree, MBA, or PhD
At least 8 years of experience in the software industry in roles such as Engineering, Infrastructure, Quality Assurance, Architecture, or Data Science
Minimum of 3 years in leadership roles such as Manager, Architect, Owner, or Coordinator
At least 2 years of experience managing teams of 20 or more employees
Experience in participating in at least 5 full-cycle projects or launching a product or key product capability to market
Proven ability to coach teams and individuals to improve engineering practices and workflows
Experience with facilitation and moderation techniques for driving effective collaboration and decision-making
Strong knowledge of IT frameworks, models, processes, and methodologies for engineering optimization
Hands-on expertise in developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code
Knowledge of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for measuring engineering productivity
Proficiency in Value Stream Mapping for identifying inefficiencies and optimizing workflows
Understanding of version control principles for managing code repositories and collaboration
Experience with AIOps for automating IT operations processes
Expertise in cloud technologies for scalable infrastructure solutions
Strong skills in data analysis for evaluating engineering performance and opportunities
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Kanban, JIT, and 5S for improving operational efficiency
Solid understanding of software engineering practices for delivering high-quality solutions
Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders

Nice to have

Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML and blockchain solutions
Familiarity with advanced monitoring tools and observability practices for engineering teams
