Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Developer on this high-performing team, you’ll play a key role in building and enhancing complex applications. You’ll contribute to end-to-end development efforts while actively participating in technical discussions and Agile ceremonies. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java applications using the Spring Framework.
- Translating business and technical requirements into scalable, clean code.
- Collaborating with product owners, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver new features.
- Integrating external APIs and data sources into enterprise systems.
- Performing unit and integration testing to ensure reliability and performance.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues, including bottlenecks and bugs.
- Maintaining high standards of code quality, structure, and CI/CD automation.
You’re an experienced developer who combines technical mastery with a collaborative spirit. You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
- 4+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong command of Java, Spring, Maven, RESTful APIs, and Oracle DB.
- Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, and modern CI/CD workflows.
- A solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, clean code principles, and test-driven development.
- An Agile mindset and a willingness to contribute beyond your own code—supporting teammates, challenging assumptions, and seeking improvement.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
- Experience working in Scrum teams or Agile organizations is preferred.
