• A Network Security Engineer is responsible for safeguarding an organization’s network infrastructure, systems, and data from potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect an organization’s networks from unauthorized access, cyberattacks, and data breaches.
• The engineer is expected to work proactively in identifying security weaknesses, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Key Responsibilities:
• Design, configure, and implement security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, etc.) for network infrastructure.
• Monitor network traffic and security events to detect potential threats or vulnerabilities.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify potential risks and weaknesses in the network.
• Implement and maintain compliance documentation, including security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the integration of security measures into network infrastructure. Technical Skills:
