Network Engineer

Job Summary:

Glocomms are working with an established food production company that are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Fortinet, HP Aruba, and Cisco technologies, and a strong understanding of network security, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 6 months renewable

Location: Perpignan - 5 days a week in the office

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network infrastructure using Fortinet firewalls including FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Configure and manage HP Aruba switches and wireless controllers to ensure secure access and seamless mobility.
• Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and wireless solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Monitor network performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal throughput.
• Implement and maintain VPNs, VLANs, ACLs, and QoS policies to support secure and efficient network operations.
• Conduct regular network assessments, audits, and security reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and business initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents, service requests, and escalations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Industry certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or Aruba Certified Switching Associate/Professional are highly desirable.
• Proven experience with enterprise network design, deployment, and support.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing and switching, firewall policies, and wireless technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
