DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Freelance DevOps Engineer – Azure Migration

Location: German based / Remote

Rate: €80/hour

Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Start Date: ASAP

Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support a large-scale Azure migration from VMware ExTI. You'll work alongside architects and cloud engineers to automate, deploy, and monitor the migration process and target environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement and automate Azure infrastructure (IAC using Bicep, Terraform, or ARM)
• Support the migration of VMs and services from VMware to Azure
• Configure CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Monitor performance, cost, and operational health in Azure
• Collaborate with security and operations teams to meet compliance and governance standards

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Azure services and infrastructure automation
• Proficient with Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Experience with VMware migrations or hybrid cloud environments
• Strong knowledge of networking, identity (Azure AD), and security in Azure
• Fluent in English (German a plus)
