Responsibilities

Responsibilities As a Software Engineer Specialist, you will contribute to the continuous improvement, support, and evolution of complex integration systems. Your tasks will include:

  • Analyzing system requirements and integration interfaces, particularly in the context of SWIFT MT/MX message processing
  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying message flows using IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
  • Performing root cause analysis and resolving production issues related to ESB services
  • Documenting solution designs, configurations, deployment steps, and technical guidance
  • Providing support for middleware tools including IBM ACE, ITX, MQ, and WSO2 Micro-Integrator
  • Coordinating issue resolution with middleware support vendors
  • Participating in disaster recovery and failover testing
  • Automating manual tasks and workflows using Ansible and Azure DevOps pipelines

Required Skills and Experience Technical Knowledge:

  • IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE)
  • IBM Transformation Extender (ITX)
  • IBM MQ
  • WSO2 Micro-Integrator
  • SWIFT message formats and processing (MT and MX)
  • Data transformation using XSLT, eSQL, or built-in ESB tools
  • Integration protocols: MQ, SFTP, SOAP, REST
  • Java programming
  • SQL (Oracle, Sybase, MongoDB)
  • Authentication and security protocols: TLS, WS-Security, OAuth, SAML, JWT

Proven Competence In:

  • Analyzing integration requirements and designing appropriate solutions
  • Developing secure and scalable message flows
  • Creating web services using XML (XSD, XPath, JAXB), JSON (Swagger), SOAP, and REST
  • Handling SWIFT message flows
  • Enforcing authentication and authorization within integration pipelines
  • Troubleshooting IBM middleware platforms

Evaluation Criteria Candidates will be selected based on demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Developing and maintaining message flows with IBM ACE or its predecessors
  • Building transformations with ITX and the SWIFT Pack for MT/MX messages
  • Operating IBM MQ V9
  • Writing DML/DDL queries for Oracle, Sybase, and MongoDB
  • Implementing secure web services using modern standards and protocols
