An international technology-driven company headquartered in Amsterdam is looking for an experienced Data Center Network Engineer to join its team in the Netherlands. This is a unique opportunity to work on a truly global scale, helping to design, maintain, and evolve a complex data center network that supports millions of users daily.

• Ensure the stability and availability of a large-scale, globally distributed data center network.

• Operate, maintain, and improve high-performance networking infrastructure across multiple international sites.

• Develop automation tools and scripts for network provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring (primarily using Python and Unix/Linux).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions supporting private cloud and virtualization platforms.

• Lead efforts on zero-touch provisioning and automated configuration pipelines.

• Monitor and continuously improve network performance to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.

• Manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with vendors across a multi-vendor environment.

• Engage with third-party partners to ensure timely support and resolution.
  
  

• Deep understanding of networking protocols and principles: routing & switching, TCP/IP, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.

• Strong experience with automation tools and scripting languages, especially Python.

• Proven track record with Unix/Linux systems and network automation frameworks.

• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining zero-touch provisioning and configuration tools.

• Practical knowledge of large-scale data center operations and infrastructure.

• Familiarity with virtualized network environments and private cloud platforms.

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-availability environment with multiple vendors and technologies.

• Strong incident response capabilities and experience coordinating with support vendors.
