Position: Automation Engineer

Location: Ålesund, Norway (on-site)

Industry: Fisheries and Aquaculture

We are currently looking for a skilled Automation Engineer to join a team developing cutting-edge technology supporting the sustainable growth of the fisheries and aquaculture industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and program automation systems designed to handle live fish in a gentle and efficient manner.
• Lead projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring delivery on time and in line with quality standards.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to gather requirements and implement effective technical solutions.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, biological, and systems engineers.
• Improve internal tools and workflows to optimize project efficiency and quality.

Qualifications:

• Degree from a technical college, or a Bachelor's or Master’s in automation, cybernetics, computer science, or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience may compensate for formal education.
• Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills in Norwegian and English, both verbal and written.
• Passion for solving technical challenges and learning how complex systems function.
• Broad technical interest and strong practical understanding.
• Proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented team player.
