Job Title: Lead Build Engineer – Linux, VMware

Location: Singapore

Job Type: Full-Time


Job Summary :-


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Build Engineer with deep expertise in Linux systems and VMware environments. This role involves leading technical teams, managing complex infrastructure deployments, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration, middleware platforms, automation, and stakeholder collaboration.


Key Responsibilities :-


  • Administer and manage Linux/Unix servers and related infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Unix/Linux-based applications and services.
  • Lead the deployment and support of applications on RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for Oracle and MySQL databases.
  • Guide technical teams in configuring and optimizing middleware and OS platforms.
  • Drive automation initiatives using shell scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts to ensure high availability.
  • Provide L3 support for infrastructure and middleware incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project delivery and documentation.
  • Ensure system security, patching, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Maintain robust backup and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.
  • Contribute to IT strategy, architecture, and infrastructure planning.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.


Required Qualifications :-


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure delivery and middleware platforms (JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, Kafka).
  • Strong scripting skills (Unix shell) and SQL proficiency (Oracle/MySQL).
  • Experience in leading technical teams and managing complex deployments.


Preferred Qualifications :-


  • Red Hat Certified Specialist or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with VMware configuration and administration.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to system reliability and performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
