Senior Cyber Security Operations Analyst (SOC)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Operations Analyst (SOC) to join our innovative team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding the organization's critical information assets by analyzing cyber threats, responding to incidents, and driving efficiency through process improvement and reporting. This position requires both technical expertise and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance security measures and contribute to organizational resilience.

Responsibilities


  • Respond to alerts from the SOC MSSP and protect critical information during extended business hours
  • Identify and assess information security threats while making actionable recommendations for monitoring and remediation
  • Develop and maintain knowledgebase articles and playbooks to streamline the investigation process
  • Provide meaningful reports and actionable data insights to support leadership and the Cyber Security Operations Manager
  • Lead measuring and monitoring efforts for Information Security mitigations as directed by management teams
  • Collect and analyze meaningful metrics and reporting data for monthly and ad hoc reporting
  • Evaluate opportunities for improving information security policies and standards based on current industry guidance
  • Stay informed about the evolving Cyber Security threat landscape and its impact on operations and personnel
  • Assist in investigating security breaches and performing incident management activities
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure adherence to incident response protocols and deliver effective results
  • Advocate for best practices in IT and change management processes to strengthen security posture


Requirements


  • Residence in Ukraine (remote work eligible only for candidates based in Ukraine)
  • 5+ years of experience in security threat analysis or incident response, ideally within a SOC
  • Background in investigating security breaches and managing security incidents
  • Understanding of IT system architecture, network design, and IT/change management processes
  • Proficiency in platforms used for information security investigations and triage activities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a hybrid team setting with remote and onsite flexibility
  • Strong capability to engage with cross-functional teams and influence incident response decision-making
  • Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., computer science, cyber security, engineering) or equivalent professional experience


Nice to have


  • Expertise in contributing to security policy formation and aligning them with industry standards
  • Familiarity with metrics gathering tools and methodologies to deliver insightful reporting
  • Skills in adapting to fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity technologies and tools relevant to cloud security strategies
