First Point Group are recruiting a Back Office RAN Integration Engineer to join our customer on a permanent basis to work in Dusseldorf. Please note, German language skills are manadatory requirement for this job, non German speakers cannot be considered.


The job role

  • Providing technical support to RAN and Field Engineers for all on the day activities
  • 2G/3G/4G/5G integrations various upgrades of existing sites (capacity upgrades; U9, L18, L21, L26 Tech Adds)
  • 4G recommisioning and Support for Field Revisit under the INC resolution and surveys.
  • Ensuring quality of completed activities is meeting expected standards calls performance checks (various counters in Cell Performance Monitor or Query Result Configuring RETs and TMAs)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication and synchronization between Back-office and Field Force assist troubleshooting of installation problems
  • Support to Field Force for External Alarms and Acceptance Test, RETs setup, tests, and calibration
  • Need to Perform Configuration/Performance and fault management
  • Daily Call test information delivery and Remote call test support to Field Force
  • Commissioning file and ret report delivery to Field Force for HOP information
  • Interference analysis validation for full site solution
  • Trigger and escalation operational/configuration/performance issues that might require support from other functional teams (Tx/Core provisioning) via INC Remedy Management and resolution
  • Audit on installation issues (identifying PIM issues, RTWP and External Interference, Support for Cross Feeder investigation)
  • Follow up of all INC tickets opened and supporting partners in the resolution
  • Providing support to RAN Engineers on any kind of script related issues, fixing configuration faults, Troubleshooting of Tx issues, and providing support on escalations to relevant teams



Core competencies, knowledge and experience

  • Performing remote configuration expansions as well as new site integrations on 2G, 3G , 4G & 5G Huawei/Ericson sites
  • Performing site parameter modifications
  • Generating nodeB scripts for IP migrations using CME
  • Defining external alarms for new integrations, alarm checks and troubleshooting
  • Unlocking sites for final integration. Verifying test call results, checking life traffic on site
  • Checking major KPI`s (CSSR, DCR, call attempts, cell availability, HO-drops, etc) while troubleshooting faults raised by customers
  • Performing remote configuration expansions as well as new site integrations on 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G for Huawei & Ericsson sites
  • Verifying functionality of transmission to site and troubleshooting if required. Transmission verifying and testing on BSC/RNC/nodeB/enodeB end via M2000 & Ericsson OSS as well as parameters checks on transmission nodes via Tellabs NMS and NSN Netviewer.
  • Experience in Unison, ENM, U2020 and Cramer planning tool



Must have technical/professional qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years relevant experience in Telecommunications Engineering with experience in a managerial/supervisor Knowledge
  • Graduation in Telecommunications/ Electronics
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • English language (spoken and written)
  • Germany language (Read & Write)
