Technical Consultant – Product Specification Specialist

We are a company focused on the built environment with a commitment to low-carbon construction. To enhance our current in-house design capabilities, we are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in technical detailing and product specification. This role will involve designing airtightness/breather membrane strategies for new and existing buildings and consulting with architects, engineers and contractors to provide bespoke membrane solutions for their projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing Partel’s excellent reputation in the construction industry. We are looking for someone with a good working knowledge of the building regulations and experience in technical detailing.

Responsibilities:

• Represent Partel as an industry leader.
• Support existing Partel customers by providing airtightness/breather membrane designs, responding to technical questions and providing necessary documentation.
• Develop Partel network by supporting designers with technical expertise, product specification support, CPD’s and attendance at trade shows.
• Produce drawings and information for issue. Production of technical descriptions specifying material and associated properties, utilising knowledge of standards and construction procedures.
• Visit designers’ offices/site when requested.  
• Produce accurate, consistent, and professional records, reports, and general information.
• Carry out other duties as directed by your manager

About you

• Relevant qualification – Architect, Architectural Technician, Engineer, Green Building degree etc.
• We are open to applicants with all levels of experience.
• Technical knowledge of the construction industry.
• Detailed understanding of the relevant regulations.
• Advance knowledge of Ms Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills, as interaction with other professionals, authorities and clients occurs frequently.
• Ability to work on own initiative and explore business development opportunities.
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Experience with industry specific software is a bonus – U-value calculation tools, WUFI, BuildDeskU, CAD etc.

Education Requirements

·       Relevant Degree in Engineering / Architecture / Construction
