The North-West Queensland regional office supports the development and delivery of strategies and initiatives to achieve the priorities of the North-West Queensland Economic Diversification Strategy (EDS) Implementation Plan to 2025, the implementation of the Regional Transformation Strategy (RTS) and the delivery of a structural adjustment package for Mount Isa responding to mine closures in the region.

Your opportunity
As a Project Manager, you will connect industry, businesses, community, and government at all levels to create place-based solutions that leverage regional strengths and unlock sustainable growth. Your responsibilities
- Develop regional project plans and proposals which align with identified opportunities and strategies in consultation with regional stakeholders.
- Implementing, monitoring and reporting on activities identified within the EDS, RTS and structural adjustment program.
- Lead complex procurement matters.
- Prepare high quality reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy, presentations, documents, publications and correspondence.
- Representing government policy in external forums.
- Assist industry and facilitate their interaction with other agencies and levels of government.
- Undertake effective stakeholder management and client engagement particularly with industry to identify and address emerging issues and opportunities, including managing competing work unit priorities.
- Foster a culture of teamwork that values performance, superior client service, a shared purpose and strong team culture, continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
