Senior Network Engineer

• 12-Month fixed-term contract
• $170,000 - $185k Package + NFP Salary Packaging

An exciting project-focused opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer within a leading Not-For-Profit.

In this role, you will be instrumental in driving their critical data centre transformation project. You will leverage your deep Cisco ACI expertise to lead the technical aspects of the project, working closely with vendors and internal stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on a vital organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical delivery of the data centre transformation project in the Melbourne location.
• Develop detailed technical documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Technical Requirement Documents (TRDs).
• Facilitate technical discussions with external vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Provide internal technical leadership for the project, guiding the design, build, and test phases.
• Collaborate closely with Senior Project Managers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee and contribute to the design and implementation of new data centre network infrastructure.
• Manage and troubleshoot network-related issues, with occasional after-hours work (approximately once a fortnight, with time in lieu provided) for planned outages.

About you:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including ACI (essential) Firewalls, Switches, Routers, and Cisco ISE.
• Strong understanding of data centre networking principles, including power, racks, and heating/cooling considerations.
• Experience in documenting technical requirements for complex infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and effectively communicate with vendors.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN and Fortigate firewalls beneficial.
