Purpose of the job / project
As a People Manager in our Agile structure, you play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and productive work environment. You anticipate the needs of our function leaders and team members, helping them stay focused on their projects by providing strategic guidance and support. Your primary focus is on coaching and supporting the development of the various team members through people partnering, performance management coordination, and career development.

You manage people with an Agile mindset, promoting flexibility, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest LNDS projects and services.
In addition to being organised and analytical, you possess the strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact with a variety of people and job functions.
You have a strong background in HR management, with a focus on technology and data. This role requires proficiency in managing and updating LNDS’ HR management system (Personio) to ensure seamless HR operations.
The People Manager will partner with the Head of People, who is part of the leadership team, and will work closely with a People Generalist.
What you will do
- HRIS Management: Take ownership of our HR management system (Personio), ensure it is up-to date, accurate, and fully utilised to support HR processes.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, facilitating communication, and promoting engagement.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) provider for job posting and initial candidate screening. Manage internal interviews, candidate selection, offer process, and onboarding to ensure a smooth and efficient transition.
- Internship Management: Oversee the entire internship program, managing approximately 10-15 internships per year, from recruitment to onboarding and development.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and educational institutions to support the recruitment of engineering and data enthusiast interns.
- Administrative Follow-Up: Handle administrative tasks related to the full employee life cycle, including hires, trial periods, departures, changes in personal information, vacation, etc. Organise and maintain all personnel-related data records and the people database.
- Payroll & Compensation: Manage the monthly payroll and support the annual compensation cycle.
- Benefits Strategy: Support in designing and be responsible for delivering against the agreed benefits strategy
- Learning & Development: Support in designing and be responsible for delivering against the agreed learning and development strategy, including the development of our training plan and coordination of training activities.
- Performance Management: Coordinate performance review processes, providing guidance and support to employees.
- People Coaching: Act as a people coach to help employees maximise their skills and aspirations. Support functional leaders in managing their teams by focusing on employee development and engagement, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and regulations.
- Tech Savvy: Demonstrate strong technical skills and computer proficiency to manage and optimise HR systems effectively.
- Data Analysis: Utilise data from the HRIS to generate insights and reports that inform HR strategies and decision-making.
- Agility & Versatility: Embrace a "Swiss knife" mindset, ready to roll up your sleeves and support various HR and organisational needs as they arise. Be adaptable and agile in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
Who you are
- Master’s degree in human resource management or business administration.
- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in high-tech / data and international environments with proven experience as People / Human Resources Generalist or human resources business partner in Luxembourg.
- Computer literate with excellent skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Proficiency and ease in using HR management systems.
- Demonstrate strong technical skills and computer proficiency to manage and optimise HR systems effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English and in French.
- Demonstrated ability to be agile, versatile, and hands-on in a dynamic, growing organisation. Knowledge of Luxembourg labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking across different functions.
- A proactive, friendly, agile and supporting attitude.
- Ability to identify issues and lead effective solutions.
