SkyShowtime is looking for a talented team of builders and believers to join us as we continue to build Europe's newest streaming service, and we’re on the hunt for a PR & Communications Manager, Northern Europe to join our team - Stockholm.

From movies, and original series from the iconic brands of Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME®, Sky Studios, and Peacock to SkyShowtime Original series, SkyShowtime is Europe’s new home for premium entertainment.


Launched across all of its markets in 2023, SkyShowtime is available in: Albania, Andorra, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. It is available through select television providers in some markets and across Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices, Android TV, Google Chromecast, LG TVs, Samsung Smart TVs, and the web.

The role:


The PR & Communications Team’s role is to inspire our employees, shareholders, media and influencers to champion the best of SkyShowtime.


We’re creative, driven and action orientated. We want to drive brand awareness through great PR campaigns that get people talking about SkyShowtime and encourage prospective consumers to sign up for a monthly subscription to the service.


You’ll support the PR & Communications Team which includes the Senior PR & Communications Manager for Northern Europe as well as the wider PR & Communications team located in SkyShowtime territories. We also have a retained PR agency who support across the global press office and project, as well as a number of retained agencies across Northern Europe.



Key responsibilities:


  • Assist in the delivery of priority PR campaigns for key shows.
  • Support Senior PR & Comms Manager to create and deliver campaigns for local original programming.
  • Draft press releases and press materials, researching and fact checking information.
  • Manage meeting agendas, minutes and status updates with agencies, partners and internally.
  • Manage media queries, providing routine information and referring queries on where necessary.
  • Assist with the management of the 4 Northern European agencies.
  • Work with PR & Comms Exec in London to ensure journalists can watch/preview our content through screening site.
  • Work with Senior PR & Comms Manager to manage media events, internal comms events and interviews such as launches and press days.
  • Input into PR and comms plans as required, including helping to generate creative ideas.
  • Cultivate and build relationships with key press and influencers.
  • Oversee reporting with support from local agencies including managing press trackers, collating press coverage and providing project and weekly press updates to the team and wider business, managing internal team project trackers.
  • Support on corporate and business announcements for the Northern European region.
  • Work closely with marketing, social and partner teams to ensure PR campaigns and messaging are seamlessly integrated as part of the overall marketing & PR campaign.
  • Issues management when required.
  • Work closely with Senior PR & Comms manager Northern Europe to manage budgets across key projects.
  • Undertake administrative activities as required - including booking transport, archiving, telephone calls, purchase orders, preparing expenses, maintaining contact lists, setting up new starters on the system and processing HR forms.



What you'll bring:


  • Highly motivated and organised individual with experience in TV and film publicity and the media industry in general.
  • Demonstrable experience on managing multiple campaigns at the same time.
  • Must be able to work independently. Is rrganised and efficient, while adept at working to specific deadlines.
  • Collaboration – ability to be a good team player.
  • Confident in identifying press opportunities.
  • Understanding of the wider industry and ever-changing media landscape.
  • Flexibility – need to be able to adapt to changing demands in a busy environment.
  • Able to frequently travel internationally.
  • Ability to act with autonomy, seeking solutions to problems and referring upwards for guidance or to gain agreement on a recommendation.
  • Must be fluent in English and with excellent oral and writing skills. Additional European language capabilities are a big plus.
