Data Analytics - BI Analyst

As a Data Analytics BI Analyst at OCBC, you'll be at the forefront of driving business growth through data-driven insights. You'll work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and implement changes that make a real impact. How you succeed

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a collaborative problem-solver who can distill complex data into actionable insights. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, develop targeted solutions, and implement changes that drive business outcomes. By leveraging your analytical skills and business acumen, you'll help OCBC stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly changing market.

What you do

• Provide data analytics support to business stakeholders, including data analysis, reporting, and insights
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
• Gather requirements from the business for the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and other data visualizations to support business decision-making
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy
• Development and ongoing management of reporting, analysis and derivation of key customer metrics
• Work with our Data Engineering team to define the key date pipelines
  
  

Who you are

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Understanding of banking, insurance or financial services preferred
• Has prior experience of BI reporting tools (Power BI / QlikView)
• Ability to analyze, identify, visualize and describe key trends within large datasets
• Prior experience of leading analytical software tools and leading database environments
• Curious & a real passion for understanding “why?”
• Creativity to see possibilities within the data & translate into compelling stories, decisions and actions for non-technical business users.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence the business to take action from the data
