Title : Python Developer

Location : Reston VA ( 3 Days onsite )

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines using Python, SQL, and AWS Glue
  • Work with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, Redshift, S3, SNS/SQS for data processing and orchestration
  • Participate in data modeling, build dimensional models (dims and facts), and support data vending mechanisms
  • Interpret and implement business requirements from backlog stories
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, system integrity, and compliance
  • Senior roles will take ownership of tasks end-to-end, work independently, and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Junior roles will support development, assist in maintenance projects, and progressively handle more complex tasks under mentorship

Required Skills

  • Python (mandatory) - solid understanding of scripting and automation for data workflows
  • SQL (mandatory) - advanced querying, joins, and transformations
  • AWS (preferred) - experience or certification in key AWS services like Lambda, ECS, Redshift, Glue
  • ETL development experience, especially with AWS Glue
  • Familiarity with data architecture concepts including dimensional modeling
  • PySpark experience (nice to have for senior roles)
  • Basic understanding of test automation tools (e.g., pytest or general frameworks)
  • Exposure to real-time data processing and messaging systems like SNS/SQS
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and large-scale data warehousing
