Senior .NET Developer

The Senior .Net Developer will deliver technical solutions for the Core Self-Funded business for Independence Family of Companies to transact business electronically. This position will work closely with various solution development and infrastructure teams across the Independence FOC, such as application development teams, DevOps team, and System Administrators. The Developer will work with business partners to understand business needs and to translate the specific requirements into technical solutions. The Developer will develop, maintain, and administer Applications and APIs built on .Net framework that enable business functionality. Angular JS development experience is a plus. The Developer is expected to bring the business requirement from a conceptual design to a technical solution through all phases of the software lifecycle: technical design, development, unit test, functional test support, and production implementation. Active participation in daily scrums within the Agile framework is expected.

Job Description

Develop software solutions which support the business data requirements.

Define and document the technical requirements within Azure DevOps.

Ensure compliance with security practices within the DevOps process.

Participate in on-call support duties and daily scrum meetings.

Develop architecture diagrams appropriate for the application.

Conduct and participate in technical architecture reviews to validate the solution's conformance to customer and systems requirements

Work with Application Architects and Database Administrators to enable full-stack solutions that integrate front-end content management systems and applications and backend database systems or APIs.

Develop web applications using .Net framework

Develop web pages within the Angular framework.

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and WCF Services.

Produce system documentation including technical requirements, user stories, architecture diagrams.

Support application testing and production implementation as required

Assist in the development of the coding standards.

Assist other team members

Stay current with industry content management system best practices and standards

Conduct peer reviews

Work with Customer teams to gain a solid understanding of the business rules and systems that integrate with Portal technologies.

Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technology related field or equivalent work experience.

10+ years of proven experience in web and portal technologies or distributed systems integration.

Highly skilled in ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, Entity Framework and WCF Services.

Highly skilled in web interface technologies: HTML, JavaScript, Angular, REST API, SOAP, and XML technologies.

Advanced understanding and experience in OO design and SOLID design principles.

Ability to work within an Agile Methodology and according to the DevOps process using Jenkins, and Git.

Ability to improve application performance and identify performance tuning opportunities.

Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to define deliverables, tasks, and dependencies for multiple work streams.

Adhere to enterprise application architecture policies and standards.

Adhere to enterprise security standards and practices.

Strong team player, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.

Fast starter and effectively deliver with limited supervision. Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.

Experience With Facilitating Requirements And/or Design Meetings.

Good organizational and technical writing skills, including creation of Functional Specifications, Process Models, Use Cases, Functional Diagram Business Requirements.
