IT Assistant

Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.

Job Purpose:

As an IT Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the hotel’s IT infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware/software issues, maintaining networks, and assisting in the implementation of new technologies to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level IT support to staff and guests
• Maintain and troubleshoot the hotel’s network, servers, POS systems, and telecommunications
• Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software
• Monitor and maintain data backup systems and IT security protocols
• Support audio-visual systems used in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and common areas
• Collaborate with external vendors for technical support and upgrades
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure timely updates
• Ensure all systems are compliant with hotel policies and data protection standards
  
  

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of IT support experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and IT hardware
• Familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, MICROS) is an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work in shifts and respond to emergency issues outside of regular hours
