Senior OT and SCADA Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior OT (Operational Technology) and SCADA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of OT and SCADA systems in complex industrial environments. This role involves working across the entire system lifecycle—from requirements analysis and system design to deployment, optimization, and support. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in SCADA systems, industrial networks, and cybersecurity with strong leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

System Design and Architecture:

• Develop high-level and detailed designs for OT and SCADA systems tailored to industrial requirements.
• Create system architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and functional requirements.
• Ensure system designs meet scalability, performance, and security standards.
  
  

Implementation And Deployment

• Lead the implementation of SCADA systems, including hardware installation, software configuration, and integration with other systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage the installation and commissioning of PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, and other control system components.
  
  

SCADA System Maintenance And Optimization

• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SCADA and OT systems.
• Continuously improve system performance by optimizing configurations and workflows.
• Implement software updates, patches, and upgrades as needed.
  
  

Network And Communication Design

• Design and configure industrial communication networks, ensuring robust and secure connectivity.
• Integrate various industrial protocols, such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, and IEC 61850.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align network infrastructure with corporate IT policies.
  
  

Cybersecurity And Compliance

• Develop and enforce cybersecurity measures for OT and SCADA systems.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as NIST, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001.
  
  

Documentation And Training

• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, user manuals, and operational guides.
• Train operations and maintenance teams on system functionalities and best practices.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system use and troubleshooting.
  
  

Team Collaboration And Leadership

• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during design and implementation phases.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and vendors, to ensure project success.
• Lead system audits and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: 8+ years of proven experience in the design, implementation, and management of SCADA and OT systems in industrial environments.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Deep expertise in SCADA platforms such as Schneider, Rockwell, Wonderware, Ignition, or Siemens WinCC.
• Proficiency in industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, IEC 61850).
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, RTUs, and HMI development.
• Hands-on experience with network design, cybersecurity, and system integration
• Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end system implementation projects.
