System Engineer – Package Management

Primary Role:

  • Drive the OTA package request process for the intake in collaboration with OTA engineer
  • Request the required OTA file from stakeholders and create a repository to store all the files.
  • Upload the packages on the respective OTA portal.
  • Triage any issues identified.

As a Systems Engineer you will collaborate with the client’s cross functional team to complete daily tasks ensuring successful integration of OTA packages on the OTA portal ensuring compatibility with different ECUs and vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team for OTA package upload and timing.
  • Create tickets with the appropriate project management tool (e.g. JIRA) to document each OTA package release.
  • Verify OTA package configuration for ECU type, platform, architecture, version, delta or full image package and Production/Preproduction release
  • Mapping of OTA package configuration globally.
  • Identify, document and triage issues as required.
  • Manage wiki page (e.g. Confluence, Excel, JIRA) capturing OTA package to ECU to vehicle architecture relationships.
  • Develop and manage global on-demand OTA package upload request process.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience with JIRA & Confluence
  • Experience with Excel, PPT.
  • Experience with managing programs with agile or waterfall.
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry or with OTA (Over-The-Air) software updates is highly desirable
