Junior Security Officer

We are looking for a motivated Junior Security Engineer to join our team and support security initiatives across data, infrastructure, and application environments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid foundational knowledge of information security and a passion for helping organizations protect their digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the analysis, optimization, and documentation of security processes and governance structures
• Collaborate with senior team members in conducting security assessments and implementing best practices
• Support the operational security of systems and assist in ensuring compliance with established frameworks and standards
• Help manage and maintain security controls based on relevant frameworks such as ISO 27000, NIST, COBIT, OWASP, and CIS Controls
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments, threat landscapes, and emerging tools or techniques

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Demonstrable experience in a Security Consultant or related role within at least one of the following domains:

Data security

Infrastructure security

Application security

• Solid understanding of information security principles and practices
• Familiarity with analyzing, improving, and documenting security processes and governance models
• Knowledge of or hands-on experience with recognized security frameworks, such as:
• ISO/IEC 27000 series
• COBIT for Security
• NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• OWASP Top 10
• CIS Critical Security Controls

Relevant security certifications are a strong plus, depending on your area of expertise, such as:

• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• Language Requirement: Native-level fluency in Dutch (CEFR Level C2) is mandatory
