Backend Engineer - Java/Kotlin (m/f/d)

As an essential part of our mobile team, you'll be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing the backend for our mobile applications. Your role won't just be limited to coding; you'll actively engage in pair coding sessions with other developers, sharing knowledge and ensuring best practices.

How you'll make an impact

• you join our agile team and improve one of the country's leading news apps
• you develop and maintain software applications using Java or Kotlin, Spring Framework and MongoDB
• you write efficient, well-tested code and uphold code review standards
• you implement multithreading techniques to improve application performance
• you participate in code reviews, offering insightful feedback to team members
• you work closely with product teams to turn business need into technical requirements
• you troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution
• you leverage Kafka for efficient data streaming and integration
  
  

What you'll need

• you are a passionate developer, with a minimum of two years experience with Java and Kotlin
• you have proven experience in optimizing application performance through multithreading techniques
• you have in-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework and its various modules
• you have basic proficiency in MongoDB and its query language
• you are capable of interpreting and working under product business requirements
• you are familiar with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• you have experience with GitHub Actions, Helm releases, and Flux for CI/CD
• exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk is beneficial
