DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

The main department is responsible for system and software engineering in the newly aligned Multi Domain Solutions (MDS) division.

We are looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our Software Center. You will shape the technical foundation for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and system availability in safety-critical IT environments.

Your Responsibilities:

• Planning, building, and operating modern development and production infrastructures for software-defined defense systems
• Automating infrastructure components through infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Supporting and evolving CI/CD systems (GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes)
• Responsibility for network, storage, and container platforms and their monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Ensuring scalability, stability, and security compliance (e.g., SLS, ISO 27001, Common Criteria)
• Supporting the integration of security measures (DevSecOps) into the DevOps pipeline
• Error analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization of DevOps infrastructure
• Close collaboration with software developers, release management, and security teams

Your Profile:

• Degree in computer science, information technology, or comparable technical training
• Strong knowledge in Linux system administration, networks, virtualization, and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD tools, and automated build processes
• Knowledge of security architectures and requirements for military-certified software environments is desirable
• Analytical thinking, systematic approach, and high technical problem-solving skills
• Experience in agile development environments and safety-critical industries is a plus
• Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
