Tech Lead – Drive Innovation on Greenfield Projects

Permanent | Dublin – fully onsite

Salary: €110,000 – €120,000 DOE

We’re looking for a seasoned and proactive Tech Lead to spearhead the design, development, and delivery of bespoke tools and systems that underpin our clients' core operations.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will contribute to development efforts across the Microsoft technology stack (both on-premise and cloud), while also mentoring engineers, setting standards, and driving best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development Leadership – Lead the end-to-end design and development of tailored software solutions, supporting critical business processes.
• Technical Mentorship – Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to the engineering team, nurturing a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Application Support & Enhancement – Oversee support for existing systems, leading continuous improvement and optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborative Delivery – Partner with software teams, architects, and stakeholders to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as the technical liaison to business stakeholders, clearly communicating project status, risks, and decisions.
• Best Practices Champion – Promote excellence through code reviews, robust testing strategies, and adherence to documentation standards.
• System Evaluation – Lead assessments of current and emerging technologies, recommending enhancements where appropriate.
• Performance & Efficiency – Monitor and guide improvements in system performance and resource usage.
• Reporting & KPIs – Define, measure, and report on team performance and delivery against key objectives and metrics.
• Project Estimation – Own the estimation process for new work, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft .NET (C#) development.
• Proven track record in leading or mentoring software engineering teams or delivering complex projects.
• 5+ years’ experience in SQL Server database development, ideally including work on large datasets or data warehouses.
• Strong front-end development skills with a solid understanding of UI/UX best practices.
• Experience in Microservices architecture and Message Queue systems (e.g. RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes).
• Solid expertise in RESTful API development and API gateway integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for continuous improvement and technical innovation.

Eligibility to work in Ireland (EU citizenship or valid Stamp 4 visa is mandatory).
