Back End Developer

For one of our banking clients we are in search for an senior backend developer.

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services that power the search functionality across both web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including frontend developers, product managers, designers, and infrastructure specialists—to ensure the delivery of high-impact features with reliability, performance, and security in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services that support enterprise-level search features.
• Collaborate in agile teams to deliver well-integrated solutions across systems and touchpoints.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs aligned with modern software architecture principles.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and monitoring.
• Apply comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, performance) to ensure software quality.
• Contribute to evolving search capabilities, including hybrid search and AI/LLM integration.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal security standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and delivery.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for pipelines, code management, and release cycles.
• Proficient with GIT and common testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Experience with automation, monitoring, and alerting tools in a DevOps environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Cloud Foundry or similar PaaS solutions.
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch or similar search technologies.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining enterprise search engines.
• Exposure to vector search algorithms and large language models (LLMs).
