Cyber Security Engineer

The Opportunity: I’m working with a leading infrastructure organisation in Switzerland that’s looking to strengthen its cyber security capabilities. They are searching for a Cyber Security Specialist to take ownership of application and platform security working closely with IT, development, and architecture teams to build secure systems from the ground up. You’ll be supported by a central cyber team but have the autonomy to shape processes locally.

What You’ll Do:

• Evaluate the security posture of internal applications and platforms
• Identify, assess, and manage cyber risks across the software lifecycle
• Design and implement preventive security measures
• Work with teams across IT and engineering to embed security best practices
• Own the roadmap for cyber security development within your domain
• Keep documentation sharp and knowledge flowing across teams
• Play a visible role in raising the overall cyber maturity of the organisation

What We’re Looking For: Someone who can translate technical vulnerabilities into clear, actionable steps. You enjoy collaborating with developers, architects, and IT operations—not just pointing out problems but helping solve them.

• A Master's in Cyber Security or Computer Science (plus relevant certifications like CISSP or CISM)
• Several years of experience in dedicated cyber security roles
• Solid understanding of IT architecture, systems, and programming concepts
• Experience with application, data, and configuration management
• Strong communication skills in both German and English
• A pragmatic mindset and a “get it done” attitude

Location & Contract:

• 50% on-site office presence (Aargau) & 50% Home Office
• Permanent position with flexible workload (80–100%)
