We're recruiting a Founding ML Engineer for our client in central Stockholm!

The Position

You'll be joining a venture-backed start-up operating in the industrial energy space. The mission is to help energy-intensive businesses adapt in real time, using machine learning to reduce costs, cut carbon, and respond to volatile grid conditions. The product connects directly with physical infrastructure, optimising energy usage through AI-driven forecasting and control.

As the Founding Machine Learning Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of machine learning and data engineering and can take models from prototype to production, and build the data foundations that make intelligent systems possible.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working as a ML/Data Engineer, or similar hybrid role
• Strong Python skills, with production-level experience in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Proficient in designing data pipelines using tools like Airflow and a grasp of Redshift.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (We're using AWS) and MLOps best practices
• Solid understanding of how to move models from notebook to production
• Comfortable in a startup or fast-moving environment

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with edge/IoT data, control theory, or real-time constraints
• Experience with ML observability, CI/CD pipelines, or model monitoring
