Job Title: Data Analyst – CRA Application
Job Scope:
We are seeking a seasoned data analyst with a minimum of 10 years of experience to support and enhance the CRA (Client Risk Assessment) application ecosystem. This role involves in-depth data analysis, data quality assessment, lineage documentation, and collaboration with various stakeholders across multiple systems.
About the CRA Application:
The CRA system consists of the following components:
CRA OPA (Oracle Policy Automation):
- A rule-based engine that does not maintain its own data repository. It consumes data from various Customer Due Diligence (CDD) systems and assigns client ratings (A–E) based on predefined business rules.
CRA MM (Model Management):
- A statistical validation model built in SAS to simulate CRA OPA outputs. This helps identify discrepancies in client ratings or data quality.
CRA T3:
- Handles aggregation and processing of transaction data to support client risk assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
The role covers activities involving over 200 CRA data attributes, focusing on improving data quality, governance, and lineage clarity.
Data Design Review:
- Validate standards, data ownership, and sourcing strategies.
- Identify and address sourcing gaps (e.g., "Golden Source" gaps identified in Q4 2024 during CRA MM handover).
Data Lineage Discovery & Documentation:
- Map end-to-end data flows (upstream and downstream) using the enterprise metadata management tool.
- Clean up lineage data by removing obsolete connections where CRA data is no longer consumed.
Data Quality (DQ) Controls Assessment:
- Collaborate with GPOS and system owners to evaluate and enhance DQ controls.
M7 Issues Review:
- Analyze existing M7 issues (data quality and lineage issues in the metadata platform) and develop a resolution plan.
Impact Assessment Documentation:
- Assess and document the impact of CRA data changes on downstream consumers.
Data Handshakes Review:
- Validate and complete formal data handshakes between data producers and consumers.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in data management, data governance, or metadata management.
- Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata tools, and enterprise data architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) or similar rule-based engines.
- Proficient in SAS for model validation and statistical analysis.
- Familiarity with Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and risk rating frameworks.
- Proven ability to assess and implement data quality controls.
- Experience working with enterprise metadata tools and resolving M7 or similar platform issues.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with financial services or banking industry data systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory data requirements related to risk and compliance.
